I believe that it is important to make the most of your college education. It is my time to find out what career choice I want to have for the rest of my life. It is the time to experience new things and bring yourself out of the box. You only have a limited time to gain the skills and knowledge that you will need in the future.
It is a good idea to make the most of your college education so you can learn from your mistakes. You have a limited time to act like a young adult. A college education is what sets us apart from others. College is a good place to "find" yourself and find what you want later in life. College gives you the skills that you will need later on in life.
College is where it all begins. Many people also go back to college later in life to learn more skills for their jobs. College is where you "find" yourself and learn from your mistakes. You only have a limited time to act like a young adult. College is where it all begins.

Good Mentor
Within the next couple of years I need to find a good mentor probably in the accounting department. This person will be able to aid in my success. Having a good mentor can help me in my future career and into my future. This person will be a good person to write me recommendations.
I am interviewing a person in the accounting department next week for a program that I am in. I hope this will be my first step in getting a mentor that can help me throughout my college years. This will probably help me with the majority of what is hard which is finding a good mentor.
I also am going to meet another person where her friend is going into forensic accounting and I am going to try to figure out what area I want to go into in the accounting field. I need to do research and pick a couple of staff to help me throughout my years at Iowa State. I need to look up some staff's background to see what questions I can ask them. I will use there advice they will be able to give me and there experiences to help me with my future.
I need to find a good mentor and in doing so it will help with my success. I will use others experiences to help make some major plans in my future. So the first thing to do is look up others backgrounds like where they went to school and then go from there. This will help me make major decisions and find some good recommendations to help with my future.

Organization I Joined
I joined the SSSP organization. SSSP stands for Student Support Services Program. We do fun things as a group. Tomorrow I am going to Des Moines to see the Musical Wicked. We are also going to go eat at the Dos Rios free of charge. To be in the program you have to do one cultural event and one workshop each semester. You also have to meet with your advisor twice a semester.
It will help me to get into a group. It might be able to help my leadership abilities in the long run. This program also will help you if you need a tutor in a subject. They also help you with workshops about study habits and any other counciling services. It is also another place that I can go hang out at and study. This program will also help me with the transition like the Hixson Program.

My Senior Year
A time in my life when I felt that I handled the situation the best was my senior year. I started out by taking an early morning class. Throughout my high school experience I had never had an early morning class. Then the year before my accounting teacher honored me with an accounting experience at Fisher Controls that started my senior year.
At Fisher Controls I was in an actual business where I seen the day to day business practices. I had daily duties that I had to do. Usually they were different printed out material that I had to put into the computer. I dealt with checks and I had to mail, void, or call people throughout the week. I worked there for 8 months until the economy worsened. and they got rid of around 90 positions within the company.
I have also been working at the Best Western Regency Inn as a banquet server since I was 16. I work there sometimes during the week but mainly on weekends. I serve drinks and pick up plates for weddings and other large events. I believe that the most people that I have ever served were a little over 500 people.
I had to balance school and both my jobs throughout my senior year. It was a challenge but by the end I was used to it. I still managed to have a 3.94 GPA when I graduated. Balancing different lives is what I felt like I had to do. My academics still excelled without being affected by my jobs.
